S-15 Bench Seat and Carpet Removal - Part 1

S-15 Bench Seat and Carpet Removal - Part 1 Video Clips. Duration : 0.62 Mins.

Part 1 - This video shows the view from the drivers side the bench seat and carpet removed from the S-15, 2.8L V-6, 5 speed manual transmission Light duty truck. In less than 2 hours we have the bench seat and carpeting removed. There are only four nuts holding the bench seat in place - two forward and two rear nuts. There are also two seat belt large Torx bolts to secure the seat belts to the chassis. And last, you'll need to disconnect the seat belt electrical warning harness. All three very easy to do. Once that's complete its a simple matter of removing the carpet. I didn't remove the door hold downs and probably should have since I'll need to add the back during the reinstall of new carpet later. You can do this. You only need a standard socket set with a few sized Torx head sockets. The bench seat nuts were size 13mm or 15mm. Take the seat out, buy some new batting, some new cloth or Naugahyde and go to town with it. Be creative!
